Santander US deals
I know they bought a bunch of the CS bankers but haven’t see much in terms of deals announced I was wondering if anyone had seen anything from them

Bump
My friend got hired to the LA team last year but his group hasn’t closed any deals
I networked with a few of their bankers in both the LA and NY offices. I think they do mostly ECM/DCM and a lot of pitching. Could be a chill group but if you're looking to get M&A reps, then this may not be the place you want to be as they are just starting up the franchise.
They haven’t closed a single one.
In Europe they have closed quite a few infrustruce and renewable energy deals. Check the Santander CIB Linkedin Page.
At the end of the day despite basically getting 50% of their bankers from CS, Santander is not CS. Sure they now have strong MDs with excellent relationships across industries but it is not going to be as easy to close / win deals than with the CS name. Albeit it will be exciting to see where Santander will grow into but my guess is that they will be a MM player similar to RBC / WF / TD COWEN, maybe with occasional headline deals brought in through exCS MDs.
Which groups are now headed by ex-CS?
FSG is one of them
What about M&A
According to BBG articles and headlines, CS heads of groups are in the following:
Financial sponsors Leverage finance M&A ECM Energy TMT Healthcare
Sounds like some MDs are sprinkled into other teams but with heads from other BB (DB, Barclays) and some Moelis / Evercore
