Series exams
Maybe a dumb question (I’m not American) but do you have to pass series exams in order to be an investment banking analyst anywhere in the United States?

Yes, every US investment banker must take all 3.
This is not necessarily true - Lazard for instance doesn’t have to take any exams until you’re an associate (other firms don’t have to take the 63). Most people take the SIE/79 tho
