Sticky Offer/Re-recruiting Situation
Hello everyone! This is my first time posting, and I'll try to do my best.
I am a sophomore at a target school with a 2024 SA offer at MS for GCM. I want to go into IB and am trying to figure out what I should do in the upcoming months for recruiting.
For context, I am in the Goldman Sachs Emerging Leaders Series (pretty sure that means instant Superday) and am actively trying to network for IB and maybe PE (KKR).
Should I try to re-recruit at other banks for IB? Should I try to recruit at MS for IB? If I don't get an offer I like this spring, should I bank on the GCM SA position and try to change to IB if I get a return?
My main fear is doping something to piss off MS and lose my 2024 offer.
I would love some help and would be happy to answer any questions. Thank you!
Per my knowledge — GCM sophomores weren’t able to swap into IB this year (post internship) like they were precious years.
Do not shop around for another offer with your MS SA and then renege, will never ever end well for you.
