Structured Solutions
Hi All,
I have a phone interview coming up for a role with a Structured Solutions team. I was looking for guides on this but this space seems somewhat unique. The role/team is responsible for structuring financing solutions for PE, HF and Secondary Funds to name a few.
What would you recommend to prepare for this interview? What can they ask? I know credit risk profile would be a part of it but any additional insight would be helpful.
Technical questions, market understanding, level of math etc. What is the most important thing?
Thanks in advance!
Sounds like this would be financial sponsors corporate banking. Could be lev fin but it would be stated in the job description.
Is this job at a commercial bank or BB?
Technicals would be different for both groups
@blowtorch thanks for the reply
Job posting says CIB Americas but not one of the BB's.
Very wide degree of variance for something with this vague of a title. It could be very interesting work or very uninteresting.
Just ask what they are underwriting and what their typical return profile is on their deals. If it's high return deals, it's complex stuff which will give you good experience. If not, think twice about it.
