Thoughts on ASOs / VPs who are aggressive or yell?
New to the desk as a first year analyst. Been working with associates / VPs who get very aggressive on tasks. Starting to take this to heart a bit. Anyone face this before / have any thoughts?

Your title says aggressive, your post says passive aggressive - which one?
OP, think your associate/VP followed you onto here.
I can't give you any real comfort other than the fact that I've noticed the ones who yell or are aggressive tend to be insecure - as they become more senior and reliant on keeping relationships with clients, seniors, and juniors to effectively originate and execute, those who are unlikeable get boxed out. Being great at modelling / granular analysis does not make a good senior; in fact, that ability is negatively correlated with EQ, which is far more of a required skillset as a senior.
I pointed out a material inconsistency and asked for clarification. If that’s too “aggressive” for you, you are hopelessly soft.

Sounds like UBS Tech. I would say update your resume and try to lateral to a new group if that is what you are facing.
UBS Tech is a great group. Moving up in the league tables…!
You should laugh on their face if they yell at you. Ridiculous behavior
