Transcript in Application?

What firms ask for transcript in application (for IB, PE)? Have heard P72 and GS do, any others? Asking as only 2 B grades were in finance/econ classes, even though overall GPA is 3.8+, transcript not something I quite want to highlight

Based on previous WSO threads, it's common for many top firms in Investment Banking (IB) and Private Equity (PE) to request transcripts during the application process. While Point72 (P72) and Goldman Sachs (GS) are known to ask for transcripts, other firms that might also request them include:

  • Investment Banking Firms:

    • JPMorgan Chase
    • Morgan Stanley
    • Bank of America Merrill Lynch
    • Citigroup
    • Credit Suisse
    • Barclays
  • Private Equity Firms:

    • Blackstone
    • KKR
    • Carlyle Group
    • Apollo Global Management
    • TPG Capital

It's important to be prepared to provide your transcript if requested, as many firms use it to verify your academic performance and consistency. Despite a couple of B grades, a GPA of 3.8+ is strong and should be highlighted positively in your application.
