Travel Expense, What to do
just wanted to ask people on their thoughts, was told on very short notice that i was invited to a superday in under a week. company covered the hotel however they said to book my travel arrangements and they will reimburse. so the bus ride would be 8 hours and $100, while a flight would be 1 hour and $350, is it an asshole move to take the flight, or is that reasonable
I think it's all depends on the size of the company. If it's a big company then don't hesitate and take the flight.
Take the flight, I’ve taken a 1 hour flight before for a super day and just put in my reimbursement after I got the offer, should be fine 8 hours travel is too much for a bus
Flight. This is not a big deal at all and they won’t know the difference. Just don’t be retarded and book first class. Economy only.
Lol, they don't care and I don't think they they would even know how you got here. Assuming a big company. But seriously, how small of a company does it have to be to be worrying about the $250 difference.
I know it can seem like a hard decision but I promise no one will even take one look at this - much less two.
Take the flight, and good luck
