Not a good idea to SOLELY pick a University and/or course based on Investment Banking Placement.

However, Warwick and UCL rank considerably higher than the latter two you have mentioned. Warwick is on par with LSE/UCL in terms of placement and 'prestige'. So oversubscribed is their Economics course, they raised entry requirements to A*A*A, higher than the likes of UCL and LSE for example. Warwick Economics and MORSE are considered to be their best courses, their other courses like Engineering or Law are still solid, but don't match the reputation of their Business School. UCL, like Warwick, is a target School and consistently ranking in the top 5 for the vast majority of their courses, from Economics to Law to Engineering, Computer Science and Maths.

KCL and Manchester are considered to be semi-targets; KCL benefits from having London as a location but it isn't on par with it's London peers like LSE, ICL or UCL. Still a solid platform to place yourself into IB. Manchester is the lowest for placement out of the ones you have mentioned, however is very high in Global University Rankings (interpret that how you want).

All in all, very solid Universities for placement, regardless of where you are it won't be too hard to reach out to alumni in the industry or will it be too hard for you to get any looks.

Hope this helps

I'd say A&F is reasonably easier to get into then Warwick Economics for sure. It's requirements are A*AA, plus the fact that it's part of Warwick's Business School will stand you in very good stead for applications. Apart from looser entrance standards, the pros of A&F at Warwick are that it's under WBS, it's a fairly easier course to get into and study than Economics and the modules you'll do will actually be relevant in the industry which is quite rare for University Degrees (95% of an Economics degree will never be used in the real world nor help you learn how to model or align logos). The flip side is that Warwick or UCL Economics is more 'prestigious', but realistically employers care a lot less about your degree in the same way they care about what University you attend.

On a final note, Warwick A&F is definitely a lot better than doing most courses at KCL or UoM ie Economics or STEM.

Good luck and choose wisely. Please do factor in cost of living, 'nightlife' or how social a Uni is and location (Warwick isn't in the nicest of areas and have had plenty of friends go to 'lesser' Unis because of the fact it's in Coventry) into making your decisions. Hope this helps!
