Virtual Summer Analyst Experience So Far?
How's everyone's summer analyst experience so far? For me, I'm a summer analyst at a BB who started a week ago, and while the first week was pretty intense, it's kind of died down so far post July 4th break.
Mine was shortened to two weeks - man it was like a whirlwind, very intense and very short.

mines pretty stupid. lots of training, some fake project stuff (making fake models/pitches that we present), no real deal work. hours are ~30 a week with an additional ~15 on project outside of work.
yep that is basically what mine was. My pitches were to HR which does not even make sense lol.
yep sounds very similar to mine, but also to add - lot of confusion/problem with commuincations, having to email multiple people who sometimes don't reply or reply too late lol

Working at a MM and have been pretty busy. Worked 65 hours this week despite the holiday.

MM and also fairly busy, staffed on a couple deals already. Team is accelerating the pace due to the internship being shortened + there being a fuck ton of work in my group (healthcare).

what does the consulting project look like?
Firm usually partners with a client to assign the summer analysts/associates a broad strategic advisory project. Top teams get to then present to c-suite
In a capital markets team at a BB, working pretty solid hours, not overly worked with stuff but i'm not sure if the team is so busy now. Still putting in 6:30-7:30 every day. Just instead of wandering around the office looking for another coffee i walk around my house looking for food

how do u work on live deals? my BB doesn’t put interns on any live deal related projects due to confidentiality consideration

At an EB and things are going well. Each day is different, some where I'm working from 9am-2am with almost no breaks, and others like today where I have nothing to do. Also have projects to do which helps bridge the time between comments. Pretty enjoyable so far.

At a BB, doing some BS project which includes a 20+ page pitch deck and a simple model. HR said we’ll get to present to senior bankers, but I’m pretty sure they won’t give a shit lol

Staffed on 3 lives deals + intern project (forecast out client, create DCF, create pitchdeck). Hours 9-6, sometimes starting at 8 if there's a meeting and ending around 8 if there's a lot of work.
