Anyone know which groups are in each office?
These are the ones I know in Charlotte:
LevFin, MM M&A, Real Estate, FIG, Healthcare, Power Utilities & Renewables, C&R, Industrials, DCM.
I’m sure there’s more in Charlotte. No clue about NYC
Industrials - CLT and NYC Lev Fin - CLT and maybe 1 analyst in SF E & P - CLT, HOU Consumer and retail - CLT and NYC Regional IB - CLT, NYC, LA and others M & A - CLT and NYC Financial Sponsors - NYC Corporate Finance - NYC Healthcare - CLT, NYC, SF FIG - CLT, NYC TMT - CLT, NYC, SF ECM - NYC DCM - CLT
I think that’s accurate to the best of my knowledge. Not 100%. As you can see most groups have a presence in multiple cities with only a few exceptions.

i read it! I was curious if that was still how they did things since it was posted 3 years ago and I can't imagine they got positive feedback about their recruitment and selection process
I go to a school with OCR for WF E&P group in Houston. My interview and current internship position was only ever for Energy in Houston. After reading that post I can tell you that the recruiting is much different now.
My brother goes to a school with OCR, and apparently they are making them apply during June26-29th. Not sure how they do recruiting tbh.

WF target schools the same as Ivy League?
I don't think so. Go to one and haven't heard anything about separate recruiting for them.
Kinda + lots of representation from the South (UNC, Duke, Vandy)
The only ivy league target school for them is UPenn

Love their site. You have to enter your university, but I go to a Canadian school and they have zero Canadian schools listed. Guess they're keeping us weirdos up north out of there.

WF IBD analyst here - noncore school process is 6/8-6/12, core school is 6/26/-6/29. First round followed by superday.
This is entirely incorrect. The APPLICATION dates are 6/8-6/12 and 6/26-6/29. Actual interview dates are after.

can anyone speak to the strength of WF Sponsors, M&A, or TMT? any insight whatsoever on any of these groups would be greatly appreciated
M&A/sponsors very strong, TMT not as much butstill better than for example UBS, the worst BB in TMT

What’s the latest here?
The way it works is that they do OCR and then non target recruiting separately.
However, in the case of Wells Fargo, there targets are the top southern schools (Vanderbilt, Duke, UVA, Davidson, Wake Forest, etc), while a lot of the non target kids come from top northeast school kids. In other words, the non target kids are still typically target school kids at other banks.
For OCR, I believe it’s just on campus interviewing and then on offer. For the non target kids applying online now, it usually is a phone interview then a non target superday.
Obviously, things may be different this year given the circumstances.
for non targets it’ll be mid July first round via zoom followed shortly after by super day also via zoom

Already applied but curious at what level/how many people you think is necessary to stand out/does networking matter at all now before interviews come out if I already applied? Background: Non-target, high gpa, prior intern at Wells in middle/back office finance role, and have 2 other brand name and more relevant internships. Had an associate referral & convos with ~7-8 analysts.

Can you apply to 2 internship positions at Wells Fargo and will it look bad to the recruiters if I applied to more than 1? I was thinking about applying to Investment Banking and Financial Analyst Program (apps open in september for this, applying mainly coz there is a sizable amount of alumni from my target school in FAP).

Brother (vandy/duke/uva) said he got an email saying first rounds will be in July and the superday is already set at a particular date in September

I did their diverse pathways summit which was followed up with a superday for everyone who participated. It consisted of 2 two-on-one interviews the day after the summit. Received an offer three days later.
Are you target? I'm in their diversity program, superday is 7/30, but I need to pick top 5 "preferred" groups. Which ones did you pick/get placed in? Also, what should I expect in the interviews? I started preparing now, got two technicals in the first round. TIA

Pretty basic IB interview questions. My interviewer went in pretty deep on the capital stack but overall pretty average... Big on culture though and fit
Got email on monday, first round on Tuesday with two MD's ECM and Public Fin. Eight behavioral/fit "tell me about a time.." and two technicals "which two statements would you use" & "What do you look for in SCF" Just got invited to superday for next week.

No. But I opted to do ABF track instead of traditional IB. The ABF recruitment is "faster" than the other SA positions. Hope that helps?

Non-target and non-diversity here. Did a second round for the ABF group and first round for S&T today. My understanding is that the regular IB recruiting starts late July with first rounds, then August for superdays and September for the group placement thing. S&T superday is August 20th.

Anyone get an IBD interview yet?
In a diversity process and just did one yesterday. They told us super day would be on 7/30 if we move forward so assuming that non-diversity process won't start until after.
Just had a first round IBD interview. 30 minutes with 2 bankers on the line – literally 99% behavioral. Make sure you can speak on every line of your resume. Had only 2 technical questions at the very end.
Did they ask about something very particular in one fo your bullets or were there a lot of follow ups.
After the resume walk through they zeroed in on a couple of finance related orgs I have been involved in and sort of lead into the typical "tell me about a time when" from there. It was more about having a concise explanation for your involvement in all of your listed activities to make sure it's not BS lol.

nope. Just networked with an alum but nothing super serious.
This was true for both of my interviews, really only had two or three technicals that were very high level with a lot more focused on situational and behavioral questions.

Literally spoke with 7 analysts/associates at Wells Fargo and most of them went pretty well. I’m at a non-target but was told by most analysts/associates that I spoke with that I had a great resume. Still didn’t hear anything about a first round.
Are you diversity? I think this round was for diversity particularly people that went for the black and Latino summit. Don’t lose hope!!
