Wells Fargo Securities - Loan Sales?

Hi guys. So I recently met an employee from Wells Fargo Securities/IBD and he gave me his business card. On it, it says "Loan Sales." I've never seen this term used for IBD in this forum. Can anyone shed some light on what division he works for?

Thank you.

I've heard lev fin is the place to be for WF Securities, is this an opportunity worth pursuing? It is no doubt part of WF IBD? Also, thanks for responding, appreciate the input.

You're acting like you have the job already. A guy just gave you his business card. Pretty sure they do platform offers anyway

I'm just trying to learn about the bank and where it stands amongst all of the others. Every post on this forum is vague about WFS. Have you ever heard of loan sales? Share some information. I appreciate the condescending attitude though.

Here's the basics: If you agent a large loan in a sector, you probably want to syndicate by selling it off to other institutions (primary market). If you already hold a loan in your books and want to add to it, you probably reach out to this desk and they would execute on your behalf. Now the question to ask is: is this person on the par desk or distressed desk? It's not iBD but rather S&T.
