Houlihan Financial Restructuring Group:
1 in creditor work and according to restructuring #1 in 2008 transactions. Most banks' regional offices aren't that great, however there isn't much difference between HLHZ LA and HLHZ NY because they were founded in LA and some of the top bankers are in LA ex: Irwin Gold Co-Head of RestructuringMoelis & Co:
3 in restructuring by # of transactions. They too like HLHZ were founded in LA. They poached the two co-head of restructuring from Jefferies: Bill Derrough and Thane Carlston.
