CS LA / Barclays LA are both well-regarded and work with all the large PE firms on the West Coast. Juniors get strong technical exposure and often exit to solid MM / UMM shops.
I work in tech IB in SF - I've heard great things about BAML FSG and they have a small analyst class (therefore optimal deal exposure). If you do a quick linkedin search they have analysts that go to TPG, Carlyle etc.
