Will my offer be rescinded?

Throwaway account obviously.

I currently am going to be an S&T SA in a low BB/high MM bank in NY. I recruited with around a 3.6 gpa. I had a rough year this year (uncontrollable circumstances), which has caused my grades to fall pretty hard. Currently am around a 3.49 gpa, with it set to drop to about 3.45 or 3.4 even pending one class. The main issue is I got a C in a major class fall 2022 and it's possible I get a C or even lower in another major class this semester (D- and above is considered passing per my school). Every other class this semester is going well, it's just this one class that just so happens to be a major course.

I recently submitted my background check and such to my internship. I haven't heard back yet and confirmed that no one else interning at my school has either. My question is, am I screwed? Best case scenario I pull a B- or even B in the class, worse case I get a D- or straight fail the class. Will a bank rescind an SA offer over this, even if the GPA doesn't drop that hard?

The firm should have told you the minimum GPA requirement for being rescinded at some point. I know for my current internship the requirement is 3.3 minimum or above. I would re-read the offer letter or onboarding documents, and as long as the GPA is above that requirement they shouldn't mind if you fail or get a C in a class.

What if our offer letter/contract did not have anything about a GPA? I probably shouldn't ask HR right?
