It could but keeping evidence could help to prevent that from happening so long as your ready to defend yourself if it should ever happen. We’re also in the me too movement so be careful and DON’T be ALONE with her under ANY circumstances.
Regrettably, I've made this same threat years ago. That's just something hurt people say. But of course I would never actually try to impact someones career over a breakup. They happen. Most likely she doesn't care anymore and got over it. Would not bring it into work unless prompted. Also avoid her like the plague.

Imagine she goes to HR because you legit just gave her a pre-emptive threat? Game over, you lose. Bad strategy as a whole, really - you just showed your hand & it gives her way too much time to stew on it and come up with a smart way to sabotage you all summer long.
Keep in mind you're an intern. Your job is to try to be a net positive to the team. You going to HR immediately and letting them know might be a smart move but it also might indicate you're already a headache and bringing drama. We'll never know which until this plays out. So...
If I was you, I would literally never say a bad thing about her to any of your co-workers. She might try to sabotage you - make anything negative she might say about you be absolutely unbelievable and that only a fool would take seriously. That way, if she does try to slander you, she will look petty/not based in reality and it will likely only damage her reputation and not yours. Be very nice and professional with all co-workers. Maybe most importantly, make sure your manager is a fan of your work.
This also works for life in general. Be your best self, be a net positive for the team & never talk bad about others. Should be a pretty obvious decision for the firm who was the better intern when the time comes. Treat this as a personal & professional growth challenge - and stop harpooning crazies. Good luck!

Here's some real advice - in the case your firm uses a shared drive (most likely) and each banker keeps a personal folder within that, DO NOT name your personal folder anything that would indicate to her that it’s yours
