What firms can an international target in Chicago/NYC?
I'm finishing my masters in Europe as a European but for the last 10 years I've wanted to go to America because that's where the real action takes place and it's fun. I'm looking for any finance type role, preferably anything front office and salary isn't really an issue at this stage in my life. What are some types of firms I could target? Would networking work or am I just wasting my time given that I'd need a visa.

Does anyone know a list of financial firms I can target? From someone who works in a BB, how much is it really to sponsor?
What does “undertaking a module” mean? If u r actually at these top mba schools then Us recruiting should be easy.

Undertaking a module means nothing if there’s no actual degree attached to it. You won’t be hired anywhere as an international without a degree from a US school because you won’t have student work visas, which are really the only way for firms to sponsor H1Bs (other than internal transfers)
I appreciate the feedback. Are there really no firms that sponsor? It’s starting to seem like it and I’m best off accepting that now if it is the case.
Firms only sponsor international students who have a US degree because they get access to special work visas. That's not your case so your best bet are non-US offices
You're options are coming to school here doing OPT and hopefully getting an H1B, or potentially use an L-1 visa to move into America working within a specific company. You could also find a lovely American lady and marry her, then come in as a permanent resident. They have this thing called a diversity visa as well that you could look into, but I'm pretty sure that its a handful of countries that are eligible.Honestly, I dont know any other ways.
