Am I at risk to fail background check??

I am just in a background check. However, I am a bit worried. I have never lied on my CV, but they seem really strict about some things.

Proof of residence: where I lived you dont have to inform the government when you lived shorter than 6 months at a place. Furthermore, I often subletted without a rental contract or lived with my parents during covid. As a result I cannot provide proof of residence for a few years.

Work history: I did not include some workexperinces on my CV since they were irrelevant. For example: I worked part time as a waiter and could not remember the exact dates. I mentioned in the phone screening process that I believe it was from month x to month y, but I am not sure. In the end the employer said that my estimate was off by 4months or so.

Exchange semester: my exchange semester took place online due to covid and I was not allowed into the country. Nevertheless I wrote on my CV that I took part in the exchange program (took several courses there). However the firm said this was intentionally misleading as I should have written "virtual exchange student". In all honesty I did not mean any harm and did not even think about this.

All in all i am really worried. The screening team does not answer my mail and the other HR team always say that they are not responsible. Do you think, I will get dinged? I never ment to intentionally mislead someone about the time I worked as a waiter or that the exchange programme took place virtually, but since they are not answering I am scarred.

Did you have a seizure? What happened to the rest of the sentence.....

In my experience with this, you should be fine if you were just straight up with all of what you said,

Mods, can we clean up the multiposting though?

1) I have no lease either, because I live in my parent's owned apartment. My mail comes here though, and I claim residence. Hell, it's on my license! So use that.

2) For work history, there's some things off my resume too. Ironically as part of doing payroll consulting I do Equifax data exports, so that's how they knew.

3) COVID kicked everyone in the nads commercially. My consulting firm was entirely remote because of that. Relay that message that schools were too.

4) Like I said, it looks sucky but you have explanations for all of it. Use them. You'll be amazed.

1) should be fine. focus on places you had drivers licenses, were registered to vote, put on tax forms etc. random short term places are not expected to be included. for what it's worth my background checks have never asked for "proof" of residence, just a list. I would put everything you can. lots of people aren't on their lease, live with parents, have a verbal lease etc

2) should be fine. you don't need to include these on your CV but you should include on background check. I would try to track this down (call the restaurant, check your tax documents) if you were minorly off and it was a few years ago you're fine.

3) should be fine and I disagree with the firm. as long as you took the courses who tf cares if you were in the country or not

Just sit tight, if they need more information they will reach out. I have never once heard back from a background check. Don't bother HR with this, just assume you are starting on whatever date and that is probably what will happen.
