ARE Sony TVs worth it?

I'm currently in the market for a Sony TV. I purchased my current Sony TV in 2005 and paid almost $2K for a 55" Sony Bravia. My current tv has some bleeding on the bottom left corner. It isn't too noticeable but it's time to explore my options.

Sony's have always been known as a premium brand but is it worth it to throw a few extra bucks at Sony TV? The one I'm look  at is https://www.costco.com/sony-65%22-class---x90cj-s…

My vision tv only lasted 3 years and now requires a power board. But I only paid $400.  For the Visio.

Anyone care to share their thoughts in tv's ?

Lol,

Not sure where you got it from, keep in mind if you get it through Costco with your Costco Citi card you get a 5-year warranty.

If you did buy it from Costco, you can get a price adjustment if it is within 30 days.

Yup it’s from Costco. No go on the chase price protection (dropped years ago, apparently). Thankfully today is day 30 so headed to the store after work to get my credit

I just bought a 65" Sony Bravia a few months ago. I only spent about $400 after credit card points though. I haven't had a problem with it. I'm thinking about getting a Sony HT-A7000 sound bar to go with it.

It's a Sony Bravia KD-65X80J, I picked it up because the points on my card were about to expire, and this was the best one they still had left in stock. The link shows it on sale for $800 at Sony, but I'm sure that's not the price I got. Off the top of my head, I remember paying about $400 before taxes after all my points were accounted for. I really didn't get it because it was a Sony. I have an old Sony credit card that I accumulated a bunch of  Sony Rewards points on over the years. I either had to use my points or lose them. But I've never had a bad experience with Sony.

I can see it being the best bang for your buck.  But sucks in long-term reliability.

When my power board went. I spoke with a tv repair company. They told me I got my money's worth and it's not work repairing. Most of these cheap TVs are designed to last a couple of years.

My Sony lasted almost 17 years. Of course I paid more but surviving 2 moves and no headache. The tv still works great with the exception of the screen bleeding in the corner.

Samsung TV upgrade program cant recommend more. Frame TV is pretty slick

You get 0 APR financing for 3 years on your tv and at the end of year 2 if you buy a new tv of same or equal value. They cancel your last payments (1/3 off) and you can keep your existing TV.

I’d take Samsung over Sony everyday. Have a 65” in my living room and 75” in my bedroom. Get one that is a year out of date on Amazon
