Are those who work in finance more superficial than others in the dating world?
Whether it be men or women, are they more likely to judge a potential partner on their attractiveness and height, even if they are not attractive themselves?

What others are we referring to? Because compared to fashion and Hollywood, no. Compared to a factory worker in Bumblefuck Nowhere, Wyoming? Yeap.
It really depends on the people they're surrounded with. If they're humble down to earth people, that will rub off on the person. If they're surrounded pretentious fucks, then probably they are too
Men are more superficial than women. Finance is mostly made up of men. Therefore, people in finance are more superficial than the average person.
The average male in finance is probably not more superficial than other males.
I would agree though I would qualify and say that people in finance aren't necessarily more superficial than the average employee in another corporate industry since most corporate industries are mostly made up of men.
This logic makes abso-fucking-lutely no sense.
That doesn't really mean that guys are more superficial, just that men and women tend to find different things attractive about the other sex.
I'm not arguing with the statement that men are more superficial. Only that you seem to say that; A) Men are more superficial B) Men make up most of finance C) Therefore, men are more superficial than average person D) But, they are less superficial than average male
C & D seem to be a little conflicted to me. Anyways, I kind of think that it doesn't matter your profession, but actually where you live.
Edit: Maybe I way over thought that.
I won't call it superficial, I call it emotionless exchange - money for beauty/youth.
So, value for value?
This all depends on your definition of superficial. I would describe 'superficial' as caring more about external qualities vs internal ones. I think it's fair to say that men care less about internal qualities than women do...and arguably there are biological/evolutionary reasons for that, since women have "more to lose" so they're forced to be more "thorough" when evaluating a guy. Although both men and women care about both external and internal qualities to varying degrees.
