Miata is always the answer, but a 993 will always be correct.
The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets.
I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
Both have gone parabolic and I would expect CGT values to hit 5mm by the time I could realistically afford one. So more than likely both will stay a dream!

Since we're resurrecting this thread, the manual Mazda B2000 was amazing. Miata drivetrain, perfect 5 speed.

As an owner of a 4.0 I can attest that the 997 generation may be one of the best generations of 911. Last mezger engine, still a mostly analogue car, and BEAUTIFUL. Are they over valued yes.

-Ford Raptor, those trucks are cool as hell and super nice
-Singer or RWB Porsche, would be a dream to have a custom one of these. Turns an already beautiful car into a work of art (maybe get a Singer then convert it to RWB?)
A Bentley one day would be nice. A lot of people own them where my parents live and they look great IMO in any color.
Bentleys are classy.

F40s are typically red. Seeing it in matte marine green with black rims is just another level. So cool. So unique.

There's a mint green kicking around somewhere.

If we're going to do dream cars just go all the way and say McLaren F1.

For the longest time my dream car was the E92 M3. The only M3 with a V8 engine (naturally aspirated being the cherry on top), with perfect body lines and a classic but yet also moderately understated profile? Say less.
I've owned this car for 3 years and I can honestly say I will do what I can to hold onto it in perpetuity. It is a privilege to drive it every single time and it may not be that fast, but it feels so fast. It is also the first car I've really modified so now it feels so special. It is the first and only car I've owned where I don't immediately feel the need to upgrade to something nicer.
However, if I had the money, I would have to go with the 992 Turbo S. It is far and away the most impressive car I've been in. The 992 911 C4S doesnt hold a candle to it, they dont even feel like they are cut from the same cloth, the Turbo S truly feels one of one. I haven't had a lot of exposure to high end cars, but I would be willing to bet that most other $200-300k cars don't compete with the Turbo S.
McLaren F1, or if you want to go really crazy the Renault Espace F1.

Czinger 21C
Didn't they just break the Goodwood record?!!
yup. 1300 HP which is crazy
Yes!!! The Czinger is the fastest production car.

1994 Porsche 911 Carrera S Turbo
Why 94 specifically?
I just like the way they look. The 1997s too
A 911 is always the right answer

*911 Turbo Convertible

Aston Martin DB12
This one is a beauty
997.2 GT2RS. One of the best looking 911 generations in my opinion. Not too many frills, manual only, and super light for a powerful street car.
Actually one on RM Sotheby’s being auctioned right now

1970 maserati ghibli in dark blue w a pale interior
Probably a Ferrari 458/488 or 911 Turbo S. I want to drive the 911, but not sure it is a DREAM "this is all I want" type car.
Realistic dream cars:
In high school my realistic dream car was an F80 BMW M3 comp 6MT, which I finally purchased last year.
Up next for me is a McLaren 570s, or maybe even a Maserati MC20 if those keep coming down.
After that it'll be something like a Ferrari F8, which realistically will probably be about where I top out.
Dream cars I will never be able to justify the price of:
FD RX-7
'04-'06 Ford GT
Ferrari F50. Nero Daytona
Definitely a Porsche, maybe an Aston Martin. Both are luxurious and beautiful but not too ostentatious.
‘Ashton’ Martin or Ashton Kutcher?
lolol
I wrote that drunk LOL
992 gt3rs
Few cars I’d like to have
-Red BMW e30 M3, think this car is beautiful, love the boxy and 80s styling
-Baby Blue new BMW M2, beautiful color and think the design is super cool
-Porsche Dakar, off-road performance Porsche sounds badass
-Ford Raptor, those trucks are cool as hell and super nice
-Singer or RWB Porsche, would be a dream to have a custom one of these. Turns an already beautiful car into a work of art (maybe get a Singer then convert it to RWB?)
RWB is an abomination and should never exist
I second this. @Whiskey5 you’re a wise man!
My ultimate dream car would have to be the 1963 Aston Martin DB5.
Other great cars I'd like to own would include the 1969 Lincoln Continental, a Rolls-Royce Mk. I Silver Cloud, and a 1940 Packard 110.
A Bentley one day would be nice. A lot of people own them where my parents live and they look great IMO in any color.
Bentleys are classy.
Realistic dream car: 2007 - 2009 GT500 Shelby Super Snake / Camaro ZL1 1LE / Corvette C6 ZR1
Reach dream car: Ferari F12 TDF, Ferrari 812C Aperta, 911 GT2 RS, 911 GT3 RS
This F40 is so sick

my name since i was a kid
Aston Martin One-77 or Ferrari 488 GTB
Call me basic, but the Jaguar E Type in forest green is so clean
I currently drive a M8 coupe but I’d say I’d like to add the new AMG GT coupe and perhaps a Cayenne GTS.
Super car wise it’ll always be a Chiron but not looking good
How do you like the M8? And is it an M8 comp? They look so cool and evil.
I want a luxury version of Honda Odyssey
F90 Stradale but I’ll be content with a turbo S or GT3
Two car setup: GT3 Touring, RS6 Avant
McLaren F1, or if you want to go really crazy the Renault Espace F1.
;Porsche 911 GT1 Vanilla Yellow
Maserati MC12
Porsche Carrera GT Piano Black
Lamborghini Countach Red with Tan Interior
Ferrari F430 Scuderia Manual Gearbox
