Help a curious and stressed high schooler senior (career help?)

To not waste any of your time:
I’m interested in finance, how does pay vary between different areas? (IB, equity research, etc...), is IB by far the highest earning area, or do they all make a decent amount of money? I’m asking because I’m afraid I simply can’t compete in the more competitive/higher-earning fields. I’m hoping I can find a job attainable for me, that is related to my interest in finance.

I have fucked my high school experience (3.8gpa, almost nothing else going for me) and my only possibilities are Canadian schools (UofT, McGill, UBC), is it even worth pursuing a field like equity research considering how poor Canadian schools place in the US market? I have dual citizenship, but haven’t applied to any good US schools bc my hs stats are far too poor so I’m wondering if Canadian top schools have any value in US finance job market (also Rejected from stern ED)

Sorry to ask these irrelevant questions, but I have never found a community even similar to WSO. The amount of knowledge and support here is insane to me, so I was hoping somebody could relate to my experience and offer some advice. Thanks for reading

1) go get laid

2) use search bar for schools you should apply to, theres gotta be someone with similar stats whos posted before considering how often this comes up. But canadian targets are Ivey, Queens, and McGill. Depending on SAT/ACT I feel like you could have a shot at a semi-target like villanova or ut austin or something.

3) After you're accepted to uni, enjoy life and don't come back to this site until freshman year of uni

Edit: lmao idk why I'm getting hit with ms. Nova & UT students getting mad I called them a semi?
