HELP! Coworker on Hinge

Need help quick! I'm browsing through hinge this morning as a bored, single man and came across a woman who works with me. She is late thirties and I am mid-twenties, but tbh I totally would.

Now the questions are: is this ethical? is this weird? should I swipe on her (she will be able to tell I did)? would you guys swipe?

I really fuckin wanna but don't want it to be weird going forward, say when we first see each other in the office again. Would love to know thoughts ASAP

disclaimer: the majority of my social interactions are with 50-70 year clients

I read this and was so fucking confused, then the next comment and even more confused, then I googled it, and this shit is outstanding! I can't believe I've gone this long without a clue. Literally has made my day. Had one of my clients listen to the first episode with me after our meeting, he's 77 and he was laughing so fucking hard I thought he might have a stroke.

Are there anymore cultural gems I may need to know about?

Bro, all questions regarding hot women should only be answered after a bit of the ol´ snake wrestling. And also, can only reiterate, don´t shit where you eat.

are you actually on the same team (i.e. report to the same manager?). if yes, then i wouldn't fuck with that. if you "work" with her, i.e. different teams/different managers, then i'd go for it.

Do it. Nothing to lose brotha.

I did the same thing with a ~30 yr old coworker. Worked out a 100% ok. Stressed for NO reason the same way you are. Dipping your pen in company ink is so taboo for no reason. Just throw them a little more control and let em steer the ship as opposed to the usual male to female approach. I have also met a hinge date who worked at the same bank (on accident) and also went on a hinge date with a coworker who I knew worked at the same firm bc we chatted about it beforehand. It is such a beautiful thing. I loved all of them.

Anyways, I boiled it down to a few options before sending my signal. (1) she sees it, responds, you are in. Glory is yours. Tell all your boys immediately in the groupchat (2) she sees it, finds it funny/flattering, sends you a response, you banter for a bit, and you clearly get the message that it ain’t going anywhere. Move on. Be mature. It is all in good fun. (3) she reads it, does not respond, and two full grown f’n adults who actively signed up to be on a dating site forget about the hundreds of swipes you hit all day long (fuck you hinge limits).

Really no way to lose. Ball is totally in your court to shoot the breeze, be a normal dude, and not be awkward with it if it doesn’t work out in your favor.

Was this coworker direclty working with you? I don't recommend trying this out with someone who you see all tht eim..

Will update my computer soon and leave Incognito so I will disappear forever. How did I achieve Neanderthal by trolling? Some people are after me so need to close account for safety.

Yes.

My logic has been to keep the one work wife who is close in age and a direct peer, she is priority one. Then you can risk the biscuit a little for the older one who should never cross paths with the younger one. Totally separate dynamics from the female side. Fun v. serious type of emotions.

Then the rest of the firm is totally open season. Separate vertical and floors...? Basically a different company. I see the other ones in elevators/lunch etc. all the time. Not a big deal at all.

You could message her something sarcastically. for example - “holy shit Becca, does this mean we’re dating now!?”

if she’s into it she’d respond back flirtatiously if not she’ll just assume you’re joking.

but who knows, in today’s climate you’ll probably get charges pressed
