How to not feel like you’re falling behind?

Does anyone else feel like they’re behind on so many things because of work, whether it’s buyside recruiting, chores or errands on the weekends, catching up with friends, personal growth and learning etc.

Any advice for this?

Ah, the classic high-finance hustle where the to-do list is longer than a CVS receipt! It's like trying to juggle with one hand tied behind your back, isn't it? But fear not, here are some tips straight from the WSO jungle that might help you keep those balls in the air:

  • Prioritize and Calendarize: Get those top priorities into a calendar. Use a system that buzzes you with reminders, like an iPhone calendar. It's like having a personal assistant in your pocket, minus the coffee runs.

  • The Mighty To-Do List: For the smaller tasks, keep a to-do list. This way, when you've got a moment to breathe, you can knock a few off and feel like a champ.

  • Realistic Timelines with Cushion: When you're giving timelines, add a bit of cushion. It's like packing an extra pair of undies for a trip – better safe than sorry.

  • Do the Small Stuff Now: If it's a quick task, do it immediately. It's like eating your veggies first – get it out of the way, and you can enjoy the rest of your meal in peace.

  • Routine is Your Friend: Establish a routine to structure your day. It's like the rhythm in a song – keeps everything flowing smoothly.

  • Physical Health = Mental Wealth: Don't neglect your physical health. A walk or a run can do wonders for your stress levels. Think of it as oiling the cogs in your brain.

  • Stay Connected: Make time for friends and family. A Zoom call here and there can lift your spirits. It's like a virtual hug!

  • Reflect and Journal: Take a few minutes at the end of the day to jot down your thoughts. It's a great way to track progress and keep your head clear.

Remember, it's a marathon, not a sprint. And sometimes, it's okay to walk. Keep swinging, champ!
