Where to wander off in Spain?
I’m planning a trip to Spain. I’ve got all the famous spots on my list already, but I’m looking to add some unique, less-known places to my itinerary. Has anyone here visited some off the beaten path like Hidden cafes, secret gardens, or anything that’s not on the typical tourist radar?
Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some unique, less-known places in Spain that you might want to consider adding to your itinerary:
Sinai, Egypt: While not in Spain, it's mentioned as a unique destination in the context. It offers a different cultural experience and stunning landscapes.
Tel Aviv, Israel: Again, not in Spain, but it's another unique destination mentioned. Known for its vibrant nightlife and beautiful beaches.
Beirut, Lebanon: This city offers a rich history and a mix of cultures, providing a unique travel experience.
Goa, India: Known for its beaches and relaxed vibe, it's a great place to unwind.
Bali, Indonesia: Famous for its beautiful landscapes and serene atmosphere.
Koa Samui, Thailand: A tropical paradise with stunning beaches and a laid-back lifestyle.
Byron Bay, Australia: Known for its beaches, surfing, and vibrant community.
Shanghai and Chengdu, China: These cities offer a mix of modern and traditional Chinese culture.
While these destinations are not in Spain, they are unique and less-known places mentioned in the context that could inspire your travel plans. If you are specifically looking for hidden gems within Spain, you might want to explore smaller towns and villages, local markets, and natural parks that are not typically on the tourist radar.

That's kind of true though, but It's only 10 days trip, that's also one of my concern.
I lived in Valencia for six months and really liked it. I learned most of my Spanish at a place called Canovas - a collection of bars and restaurants. Valencia has less tourists than Barcelona and Madrid and you get a more authentic feel there in Valencia.
Thanks, I would check that out. My initial planning included the Canary Islands, Ibiza, Majorca, and one big city, though I am still looking for places as I will only have 10 days for this trip.
Yeah I’ve been to the Canary Islands - they are a little out of the way but nice. Ibiza should be fun!
So many places, Grenada, Malaga, Costa del Sol, Sevilla. I would highly recommend Sevilla, once of my favorite european cities.

Look at the no of bananas he has. Helping a lot of peeps like me, I assume.
I’d recommend Northern Spain
Basque Country featured heavily in Hemingway’s work
I got a quote of around $100 for a day tour from a guide here https://gowithguide.com/spain Is it a fair price or do you have any alternative recommendation?
