Typical Outcome For Traders 10-15 years In

There's a similar thread out there for modal outcomes for hedgies 10-15 years in (early-mid 30s) and was wondering what it would look like for traders since the HF guys largely come from the 2+2 route making corp dev etc an appealing exit. Wondering what it would look like for guys that start out sell side S&T or at a prop shop like JS/Akuna/Optiver/SIG etc. Thanks!

I came from the S&T side and the main outcomes I saw for BB traders were:
- Moving to buyside to trade

- Fintech

- Other startups in general

- Retire

- Lateral to other banks (especially for talented traders)

I don't have info on prop traders like you asked in your post but I think I can assume they have  somewhat similar outcomes.  However, I can assure you that both types of trading are extremely taxing so you definitely see many traders either retiring or going to a more "chill" job after making some good cash.
