Extremely rare for carry to be given at the associate level, especially for larger funds. In PE bonus is usually paid out every year.

Comp for top MFs will usually be in line with or slightly below top EB comp. TBH my comp data might be outdated by a couple of years, but from my knowledge, MFs usually pay around $350K all in. AS1 at my EB is right around there for middle bucket. Apollo is known to pay the most by a significant amount, but if you are comparing the top paying PE fund, you have to compare it with the top paying IB (Centerview). Then again, Centerview pays a bit more.

MM and LMM funds will pay significantly less than banking across the board relative to IB firm size.

DB TMT to General Atlantic I heard of a UBS kid to a MF tech firm WF isn't on the same level as the others. Probably LMM / MM
