Fidelity Investments 2018 summer program
Did anyone hear back from Fidelity Investments? The applications I believe are now closed or will close tomorrow, but still have not heard anything back. What about you guys?
Haven't heard anything either. I applied a couple weeks ago as well. Guessing they'll probably start reviewing once it closes.
I thought so too, but then I went to read the email they sent as soon as i applied and it says "If you haven't heard from us within 7-10 days, we are proceeding with other candidates who more closely match our requirements for this position." so i am a bit worried. let's hope for the best
Oh man, you're right. Totally forgot that. Yeah, let's hope it for the best. I'm thinking that's probably a general response to all applicants for all openings so maybe for summer programs it's a different timeline? Trying to be an optimist haha.

Thought I'd help out. Interviewed for the associate sector spec intern, interviews were on campus in late sept. Phone screens Sept for those who don't have ocr. Will likely be earlier this yr

On the same boat... the video interviews are with HR tho so I'm guessing it's all behavioral
Also the compensation part of the description in the email said that associates are compensated based on their stock performance. Is this really the case? Is there a base salary?

Got rejected for ER on 20th, received video interview invitation for sector specialist today. Also looking for any general advice and suggestions possible. Has anyone gone through this process?
Associates do get a bonus based on stock performance and other factors--there is a base though.

Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back from a super day? I had my super day a week ago (the 13th) and still waiting to hear back. I've heard people say it takes around a week, and I've heard the typical "you will hear back in a day if you're good." Any color would be greatly appreciated!
I had same date and was told by the end of this week. They're doing sector specialist this week; we should probably hear back tomorrow or Friday.

Also, my super day was far more behavioral than I was expecting (ER associate position). I had to pitch 2 stocks and do two brain-teasers, but behavioral after that.
were the stock pitches based on names assigned on the day or did they just ask you to pitch two stocks of your choice?
I was asked to pitch a stock I was following, and I worked at an investment firm last summer so they asked me to pitch the stock I followed there as well. That may have been more specific to my resume though, they didn't outright say "pitch me 2 stocks you like." The second pitch came out of the "walk me through your resume" question
Any advice for the sector specialist intern superday?
I would just know possible sector-specific metrics like EV/subscribers, revenue/unique clicks, EBITDAR for real estate-involved industries, etc. I'm not entirely sure how the sector specialist internship works so unfortunately I can't give much more color. Is it set up so that you know what sector you're applying for or is it just once you get the internship you will only work in oil or tech or what not?
I believe we get picked into a group if we get an offer... only thing HR said was that it would be 6 back to back interviews
Did anyone have a superday for sector specialist today? I'm a sophomore so not too familiar with how long I'm supposed to wait for an offer/rejection.
Looks like we will hear back on next Tuesday.

Any idea the spread on those? Or number of people that had superdays?
No idea. I believe they couldn't have had more than 5 people per superday based on the interviews, and I know there were at least 2 superdays for ER. 10 people seems low to me though, although they only hire 4-6.
