Now that early recruitment is wrapping up, most of the applications are open (minus some boutiques) and the previous thread has hit 1K comments, I thought it would be best to create another thread so people don't have to scroll through 6 pages to get to the most recent and relevant comments. Please feel free to discuss and share any concerns, question and information as before.

submitted apps for BAML, MS, and GS so far in the past few days. BAML had a short questionnaire afterwards and nothing heard from the other two. From reading the other thread, not expecting to hear anything for at least a week or two.
Yeah, waiting for non-accelerated recruiting to start up - wonder how many spots will be filled before September.
Hope not many. Seems like a lot accelerated recruiting happened this year.
Applied to JPM, BAML, WF, Lazard, DB, GS, UBS, BMO, Harris Williams, Piper Jaffray, William Blair, and Rothschild IB.
Waiting to hear back about JPM superday and had informationals at all the rest. Denied by MS. Word is the next JPM SF tech superday is mid september. Waiting on Jefferies, Guggenheim, Altamont Capital, RBC, Wedbush , Mooreland, Union Square Advisors, Cain Brothers, Pacific Crest Securities, Stephens, Mizuho, and MergerTech.
Where'd everyone else apply?

MS menlo and sf. You go to cal? Only reason I ask is I notice they hire a lot of talent out of the UC's. Looking at Houlihan and GP Bullhound as well.

Forgot to mention them--applied online, had an informational interview with an alum, and my VP pushed my resume over to his contact there. waiting to see how things turn out
Q for the DB app: do they not allow you to apply to multiple positions? I didn't see anything about it on the site, but it hasn't let me put in my Markets app after my IB one.
It seems like only one app. I wanted to apply to NY and SF for IBD but it only let me do one
Do you know if they let you withdraw and submit to a different one? I had my cover letter for IBD ready so I applied to that one first instead of Markets--but I'd rather be in Markets

Someone mentioned on the other huge thread that super day was on the 8th of September and that invites would go out around the 28th. Not sure if this is true but seems reasonable.
Have super day with JPM SF coming up soon. Separate process than regular recruiting though

I am currently Interning at an independent IRA. It's part-time, but it is paid and I am gaining a lot of experience. When I tell people I'm interning at an <abbr title="asset management">AM firm most assume I cold call all day. However, that is not the case. I have gained a tremendous amount of experience on AM software such as Emoney, GPS, and NETX360. Next Summer I am aiming for a wire-house internship in either AM or IB. How can I make myself stand out especially coming from a non-target school?

Just received a rejection from Goldman Sachs IBD after not even moving to the Hirevue stage. So I guess if you haven't received this you may still be in the running.
Ya but is anyone even getting the Hirevue invite at this point?
from what I've seen on the Goldman Hirevue thread, it seems like they keep sending out waves of them

Anyone has any insight into how technical FT Partners interviews are?
I did a few rounds with them. Not anything outside of the ordinary, in my opinion. If you're prepared for technical interviews generally, you should be fine with FTP.
So I applied early in July to GS for Legal, HC, and GIR. Had Hirevue for all three in the summer. Hear back with rejections for HC and GIR two weeks ago. Legal still says "Congratulations, you have been selected for first round interview" in the portal. Is this a good or bad sign?
My GS portal is never on track. I finished my super day with "You've been selected to interview" still on, before I even did my hirevue. I wouldn't read too much into it.
I've got my GS superday for IB this weekend. Can anyone provide some insight on what might be asked? I've been prepping, just want to be sure I'm on the right track. Thanks!
