analyst doesn't like me

hi, i'm a current junior who is an incoming sa at a west coast eb. In the group I'm going to be working in, there is one incoming analyst (current senior) who goes to my school that I'm pretty sure doesn't like me for whatever reason. Assuming he doesn't want me to get a return offer, how screwed am I if he advocates really negatively for against? For context, the group I'm gonna be working in is pretty lean and generally gives out close to 100% return offers.

I wouldn’t worry about this. By the time you graduate and start full time he will be coming up on two years and likely be gone. Also, do you have positive confirmation he doesn’t like you? I think you should reach out a few weeks before your SA program and do a coffee chat if you’ve never talked. Unless you know you’ve done something to annoy this person I don’t see why they wouldn’t help out someone from their school.

op here, i'm not 100% sure he doesn't like me, but I know that two of his friends in his club dislike me (I dislike them as well) for various social reasons, so I don't know if he feels the same way. I don't really know him, but he had interviewed me when I applied to that club like a year ago. Also, he's a current senior, so unless he ft recruited, he'll be starting at the firm full time this summer.

most likely your MD will have the two of you face off Mortal Kombat style in front of the entire front office and the winner will be deemed to stay at the firm. almost all the EBs have picked up on it, most efficient way to resolve issues like this
