Best option for sophomore summer?!

So I have a few offers that I am deciding on

-A summer analyst in Fixed income with a mid size firm

- A sophomore rotational program at large Asset Management firm, likely rotating through PWM and Sell-Side Equity Research

-A general intern at a Big 3 Credit Agency with the option to chose a group in either Corporate Finance or Structured Finance. This will also provide modeling training.

My goal is either BB or EB in investment Banking in a good group or MBB

Use your sophomore internship as a way to sell your interest toward banking by tying in aspects of the job you liked and didn’t like, and articulate how this relates to banking. I personally view it not as much as the skill set you learned, but your takeaways on career interest. Ex) I enjoyed working in ER taking a deep dive on companies to understand their business model and valuation, but did not necessarily enjoy the shorter term focus associated with public markets and quarterly earnings.

In regard to option 2, that could be helpful down the road if you want to pursue a public markets role. In the meantime for IB interviews, you can sell why you like diving deep on companies and understanding their fundamentals etc.

In regard to option 3, that could be helpful for a buy side role related to credit or broader PE selling your interest in the debt markets.

I know this isn’t a direct answer, but these are some things I would consider when making the choice. I am not as familiar with fixed income roles so have no comment on that.
