Can confirm they are at Harvard and Wharton for sure, as well as absent at NYU.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

enableiterationswharton and harvard are by far their favorites
Why do I get the feeling that this thread developed into a guesstimate? Not saying Harvard and Wharton are bad places to be though...

No he's right. I work/used to work at BX. They send 3-5 teams to each of those schools for on campus interviews. Not saying they don't hire from other schools or don't do OCR elsewhere, but those two are their top targets.

Blackstone created an RX posting on NYU's career site and interviewed many people (not technically OCR). No offers were extended. Seems like semi-target for RX and non-target for PE/M&A (very few people received interviews).

Blackstone PE only does on-campus interviews at harvard and wharton, but they have hired a few from other ivies such as yale/princeton/dartmouth. RX interviews at i think almost all the ivies+maybe a few others. M&A is the least selective; they do ocr at top publics such as michigan, texas, uva, berkeley.

Last I heard R&R does full OCR at Harvard, Wharton, Yale, and Duke and resume drops at Michigan, Duke, and Princeton. The incoming FT class is all Harvard and Wharton with one UMich and one Cornell. Incoming SA are all Harvard and Wharton with one Duke and one from somewhere else that I don't remember.

heard through the grapevine that the last SA was from Georgetown.

Conducts resume drops at Stern and Columbia as well; last SA is from Georgetown.

Okay I'm sorry for being stupid but are you all talking about OCR for undergrad or for MBA students? Because I was under the impression Blackstone is purely PE and PE doesn't hire straight out of undergrad.

BX PE does directly hire straight out of undergrad for both SA and FT positions for their PE Analyst program. BX Restructuring and BX M&A Advisory also both hire straight out of undergrad for both SA and FT positions. All three programs are extremely competitive and class sizes tend to be smaller at ~6-8 people (which is why they can afford to be extremely selective in their hiring process and tend to favor students from Wharton/Harvard. They can have their cake and eat it too)

Key words: "out of"

R & R F/T analyst class is almost all Harvard & Wharton. I think there is a guy from Yale too. Have not seen any other schools represented at R & R for f/t.

One from Cornell as well.

This entire thread looks like speculation. The secret sauce (works for every firm) is going on the company's page on LinkedIn, clicking on the 'People' tab and doing research from there.
