Canadian looking for advice on FT recruiting in London

I currently attend a Canadian semi-target university and have strong grades. I have completed several relevant finance internships and am scheduled to work this summer at a Big 5 bank in Toronto on an NR IB team. I’m starting to have second thoughts about beginning my career in Toronto and am increasingly interested in London. I’m a UK citizen, so I would not require sponsorship. Ideally, I’m looking to work on a NR team in London at a strong mid-market firm, EB, or BB.

I was wondering:

1) Am I competitive for FT roles?

2) What are timelines for FT recruiting in London?

3) How do London recruiting processes differ from Canadian processes for FT?

4) I’ve heard that networking is less useful in London, does that mean I just only cold apply to postings as they come up?

5) Has anyone made the jump from Toronto to London and can share their experience or advice?

When you say Cdn semi target do you mean mcgill/ivey/queens or like Laurier
