Citi An2 and An3 have same base? What is the rationale there? Pretty sure they have same bonus range as well. Please correct me if mistaken.

Citi An2 and An3 have same base? What is the rationale there?

Supply and demand? Aren't most MF / MM PE shops still starting associates at ~$110 range? If you're staying in banking another year (either because you struck out in buyside recruiting or your pushing for A2A), what incentive do banks have to raise their A3 base beyond $125 to, say, $150? Base already exceeds what you'd be getting on the buyside.

Plus it'd be really fucking weird to have the same base salary for third year analysts and stub year associates (bonus is a different story)

I have been waiting for this. As soon as a non MS/GS BB raises (particularly other than JPM), the others have to follow suit. Probably won’t take long for especially BofA and JPM to react. And if that happens, the rest will have to follow suit… This got the ball rolling folks

Any inclination as to when this will be officially announced? Can’t find any news coverage on this.

In a markets group at JPM... management told us to expect base raises at the end of the month and that they're expecting us to at least match GS/MS— so expecting 125k as a second year.

Are interns this summer gonna get pay bumps because of these base pay raises?
