That’s about it. My CB interview didn’t have a single technical question. I did have a case study thought. Putting together a pitch on a merger, essentially why I thought it was a good merger etc.

I was a lateral. Was approached by the team after unsuccessfully trying to recruit earlier with them.

did a corp banking technical recently: would know 5 C's of credit, market questions if you count those (how interest rates affect corp banking, deal you've been following) and there was one about if you would rather lend to a company with dividend recaps or high capex (a bit foggy on this ome). but yea its just the BIWS guides and jus know what corp bankers do and you should be good - its more behavioural

i will say mine was likely on the easier side cuz i ended up having a rly good convo w the interviewer we just ran out of time for techs. so take w a grain of salt

My interview for CB was very markets and macro focused, knowing what's going on and how it impacts the business. Know the products and approaches of the bank. Learn leverage ratios and financial analysis (mergers and inquisitions guide was good for me to use).

I was asked about a recent transaction/deal and if it was value or growth adding. I chose a CB specific deal in mind to show I am interested in CB and not IB/M&A.

Got many fit/behavioural based questions about relationships, clients and working with people.

I used the resources on google/quizlet of interview questions and was fine! Just seem smart and interesting and personable.

I saw something that the company did helping a EM central bank with financing to cover dollar repayments and took it from an impact driven motivation. Truthfully, it can be any product provision, more so on debt financing side, for a client as that's the coverage. Focus on the relationship outcomes too!
