DB Investment Banking Jacksonville Office

Curious to learn more about DB's Investment Banking office in Jacksonville. I heard the floor is split in half between investment banking and S&T. I also heard the investment banking arm is their LDCMA team, which is half in NYC and half in Jacksonville.

Is LDCMA DB's version of Leveraged Finance? I heard DB is powerful in LevFin, but I don't know if that includes LDCMA. I saw in some places that their LDCM team is really strong, but others said that it was more middle office.

Any insight about the team would be greatly appreciated. I'm interested in recruiting for the location, but there's not much information out there.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, LDCMA is not a commonly used acronym in the finance industry, and it doesn't appear directly in the context provided. However, I can infer that you might be referring to a team within Deutsche Bank (DB) that deals with leveraged debt capital markets activities, given your mention of Leveraged Finance (LevFin).

In the finance world, LevFin is indeed a term that refers to Leveraged Finance, which is a division typically involved in arranging loans for companies that have a higher level of debt compared to their equity. This can include high-yield bonds and leveraged loans, often used for acquisitions, buyouts, or for companies with less-than-stellar credit ratings.

DB is known to have a strong presence in Leveraged Finance, and it's possible that the LDCMA team you're referring to could be their Leveraged Debt Capital Markets team. However, without specific information on the acronym LDCMA, it's challenging to provide a detailed insight.

As for the structure of the Jacksonville office, it's not uncommon for investment banks to have regional offices that support various functions of the business. These can sometimes include both front-office roles, like investment banking, and support or middle-office roles. The specifics of how DB's Jacksonville office is split between investment banking and S&T (Sales and Trading) and the exact nature of the LDCMA team's work would require more direct information from current employees or official company resources.

If you're interested in recruiting for DB's Jacksonville location, I would recommend reaching out directly to the bank's recruitment team or networking with current or past employees who can provide you with the most accurate and up-to-date information about the office and the roles available there. Networking can be a powerful tool, and leveraging platforms like LinkedIn or even the Wall Street Oasis networking guide could be beneficial in your search for information.

LDCMA is not their LevFin team. They work with them, but are not directly interacting with clients. Team is more mid office, credit monitoring and such, compared to their Leverage Finance team. You will work on deals as they come in from the LevFin or other groups, but you’re mostly running with their model. Hope that helps.

If you have other IB offers I would go with that over this group, but the group is very good and respected within the bank. You could easily work there 2 years and lateral to their IB teams, but to lateral to PE might be a stretch
