Did I not get it?

Can't say I usually ask these kind of questions, but I am dying here!

Did the final round:

-Called to follow up and was given the "let me see if he is available" and told he "just got on a call, let me get your number". Followed up with an email.

-Sent an email demonstrating how I am a good fit.

No eff'n response.

In your experience, am I out?

After already doing a superday, such a maneuver makes you look desperate and insecure. The most you should have done in your message is reiterate your interest the firm, NOT argue your case. Don't do this again in the future.

JJP1234Probably all very true. In all fairness, I never had a solid shot. I am from a real non-target (think ASU) and was the only one there not from stanford etc. and it is a BB position.

Just thought if I had any shot, it would be differentiating myself.

I just gave additional background on why I am interested in banking, and how my experience is applicable.

If you got an interview, target or nontarget doesn't matter. They liked you for whatever reason.

"All I've ever wanted was an honest week's pay for an honest day's work."

For what it's worth, calling was too much. Just send a quick thank you e-mail (no need to "demonstrate you're a good fit") saying that you're enjoyed the opportunity to interview and are looking forward to hearing back... bonus points if you throw in a specific detail from the conversation with that particular person. No more than three sentences total, remember that these guys don't have a ton of time.

Did this after a phone interview with the team. I was really just trying to do something different and be persistent after the final round. Maybe not the best move but whats done is done. Thanks for the opinions, although I feel the same (likely did not get it).

So, WTF was the point of this thread?
