FP&A SA to IB FT (Need Advice)

Hi,

I am currently a junior at a non-target school going to start my FP&A internship at a BB. My plan was to establish a network at the BB/MM's I wanted to work at, and then leverage the return offer to break into an IB role. However, my first hiccup in this venture was that my school quite literally has no alumni in front office roles at  every BB/MM.

Stats: High GPA + IB Internships + Diverse (Black/Hispanic/Asian)

I understand that breaking into investment banking as a non-target is extremely difficult. I was wondering if I could have a quick chat with any non-targets who managed to go from a BO/MO SA to a FT IB role. If I could have just a couple minutes of your time to ask questions on the process, I would greatly appreciate it.

Kind Regards,
