I am currently working as an intern for the summer at Morgan Stanley doing equity research. I am interested in IB, however and would prefer receiving a full-time offer in their IB division (still at MS). Hopefully, I can recruit during the summer for IB if the firm provides that opportunity.
Would my role at the company doing equity research help for an IB role? How do firms look at transferring between these two types of business?
