Hardest Technicals for SA 26
Let’s say I get an interview at Evercore or Moelis in NYC, aside from Rx (which I’m working on) what types of questions are expected. I’m guessing paper LBOs and very technical m&a/lbo questions (deferred taxes, c-corp vs s-corp). My worst fear is getting a shot at a first round then receiving a question that I don’t understand at all. Any advice on how to prep for these super technical ones? thx.
Would you rather sit on a cake and eat a dick or sit on a dick and eat a cake ?
would rather sit on a dick and eat a dick if i had my way
this kid definitely getting an offer w this answer
"Walk me through a DCF" was the hardest one I got at Moelis
Lol
Touch grass bud, just got a return offer at one of the aforementioned and will tell u that sweating techs in August is not gonna get u there lmao. This industry is really only 10-20% hardos at most
Must feel good to be a DEI hire
Congrats on your RO pal. I’m a D1 football player, not a no-life hardo, I touch plenty of grass.
Congrats on MOE!
Why Investment Banking?
People are prepping so soon? Goddamn.
Recruiting starting next month
???
Do mocks with upper years who's been through it. Grind whatever free guide you can find and/or pay for overlevered.
Why are you afraid of technicals if you want to have a career in finance??? This excessive emphasis on target schools seems to uphold this silly mentality that you only need good grades in whatever random major/course you were admitted to study. You want to be a banker for crying out loud! Banking technicals are the minimum requirement!
Banking isn’t that much of a technical profession. Sales, relationship-based. I drank the kool-aid long ago and see it for what it is. Know your techs cold but being personable is what gets you the offer.
Oh boy, you better know how to fight for that Moelis NYC superday. I’d stop worrying about techs and learn how to punch. Heard the format was traditionally 4x25 but they added a 5th interview for this cycle where the MD walks you over to a boxing ring nearby. It’s simple, you win = offer, don’t get a punch off = no offer.
