How to prepare for Summer Internship in IB

Hi all,

I've just recently finished exams and returned from a holiday and I'll be starting my summer internship in IB in roughly 2 weeks. I've seen many helpful threads on here about what summer interns should do on the job, but not many on the preparation for interns before they start.

Therefore, what types of things should we learn in the time we have before we enter the industry? I'm thinking about reading the news with regards to my industry group, as well as brushing up on accounting and perhaps learning excel basic.

If there is anything people here who currently work in the industry or who have done an internship in IB would recommend, I would love to know.

Thanks!
