IB Offer: Jefferies vs. Citi
I currently have offers from both Jefferies and Citi, and I'm having a rough time making a choice. I'm interested in mostly industrials coverage but also M&A. I really really like the people I've met at Jefferies but Citi culture seems pretty solid too. My decision will likely come down to prestige/outcomes as well as expected lifestyle. Let me know what you think and what else I should consider.
Don’t know much about Jeffries but industrials and M&A are among the best at Citi from what I’ve seen/heard
Citi for sure. Though if it were vs UBS or DB I’d take JEFF
Citi, no Qs asked
Jeff interviewers are always pretty fratty but in the day to day they will sweat you out compared to Citi unless it’s Citi m&a/power/software. exits are much stronger at Citi tho, especially in indus and m&a
What have been the recent exits? Thought they were getting worse by the class
multiple CD&R from diff groups, carlyle, permira, TPG growth, EQT. They probably had a rocky couple years during the restructuring but considering Citi's trajectory as the fourth best BB, feel like exits should improve
would jefferies exits also improve given its trajectory
