JP Morgan Junior Investment Banking Analyst Program

Recently saw a posting for this program go up. Can anyone cast any light on what it actually is? From what I understand it's a 1 year program, then after do they cut you or are you asked to stay on given good performance? Insight into comp and details about the program would be appreciated as well!

I applied only on 12/2 -- do I still have a chance of video interviews? cause i have been reading threads and comments that the first set of video interview requests went out on 12/1. wondering if they do another round cause the application closes december 17

Just means that you get to work 100+ hours a week for 3 years instead of 2.

got invite to video interview today as well. has anyone moved to further steps after the video interview? i dont think any offers were given out yet, so from what i can guess interviews will be in the next couple of weeks since apps closed right after the holidays (when i imagine they werent interviewing)

Dayman?

Got hirevue message as well today. Also talked to another person who applied in November and did Hirevue in December. He said he got a generic email couple days back that his application was being screened at the moment, but there was no clear date/timeline outlined. He said original timeline seemed to indicate phone interviews would start mid to late-January

They're indicating that interviews could start coming out on a rolling-basis. They mentioned that they want to screen every single resume thoroughly or something.

Its crazy BUT i didn't get an email about anything... says application is in Review but in the right hand corner I see Enter Video Interview Room.... and it says it should be 30-60 min long interview.... anyone else had similar thing without email or anything? Anyway will take it tomorrow I guess.

Edit: I applied on 24th of Dec.

I did. The only thing I see is the button to withdraw my application and the application status. I can't see the actual copy of my application that I submitted.

Nothing here but spoke to a VP in IB last week who was/is involved with the program and he told me "sometime around early Feb" but it sounded like an estimate.

"I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse."

From reading previous yr's posts, I can imagine this position got 5,000 or more applicants. Think about it, BB bank, portal is open extremely long, urge kids who are generally not qualified to apply, and do it late when people are most desperate to try (after their fall didn't go too well).

Out of the 5,000+ applicants, 50 will get jobs and offers. Realistically, people who got a yes from HR on this process have networked well and the people they personally spoke with really really went the extra mile to make sure they're in the system.

I haven't heard anything yet but I have been periodically checking the yello portal. This morning it said 'application under review' now thats changed to 'interview- 1st round' but I haven't heard from them over email yet. Does this mean anything? / Is it referring to my hirevue? cuz technically that was round 1 right?

Sorry to those who got the rejection note (best of luck) but looks like the system is in the process of updating and probably will continue to do so into the day. Mine said 'Application in Review' last night when i checked and this morning it changed to '1st round-interview'. We'll probably hear from HR next week in regards to scheduling the phone screens at that point

Is there a way to go back and check which location/group preferences we chose in the initial application? Looks like there isn't a place to go back and check on Yello.

judging by prior years forums seems like it can vary based on your interviewer. some people reported having stumbled on technicals while others didn't seem to encounter as many.

I'm wondering if its 1 phone screen or multiple phone screens?

Anyone else who interview have a pretty technical heavy call? Nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of questions just surprising compared to reading last year's forum where people didn't seem to have really technical-focused interviews

I have mine tomorrow and will ask for clarification. Based on the current conflicting reports my guess is if they ding a bunch of people they will go straight to a superday, but if a bunch of people make it through the first phone screen they will have a second round to cut people out for the super day.

Contacted HR & they replied that next round will be a Super Day in early March if you pass the phone screen. Expect an update in the coming weeks after you complete your phone interview
