LinkedIn vs Email for Cold Outreach
Hi everyone, hope you’re doing well.
Quick question: for cold outreach, is it generally better to message through LinkedIn or send a direct email? Which tends to get better response rates, and why?
Thanks in advance, really appreciate any advice.
Don't use linkedin
Don’t use LinkedIn. Depending on how strict the firm is, all messages like that could get flagged by compliance for off-channel business communications.

Always email
Email for sure as way more likely to get a response. A lot of people treat their email inbox as a to do list and keep it more organized / more likely to track your email that comes in. LinkedIn has a ton of spam now plus is generally watched less compared to email which you have to track well. Mentioned above but good data scraping tools out there for the emails and generally the same email format for most people within one shop.
