PNC Corporate/Investment Banking Summer Analyst?

Has anybody done this internship or know much about it? I have searched but did not find too much info... what kind of stuff do you work on, what are the hours like, etc.

I know it isn't M&A, as that's mostly done through Harris Williams.

Thanks for any help.

PNC breaks down the structure into Corporate Banking and Investment Banking. Corporate Banking deals with more of the salesman for the bank position and Investment Banking housing the capital markets groups.

The Capital Markets Groups are as followed: Sales/Trading Rotation (FX, Fixed Income, FIG, Derivatives), Structured Products Group, Equity Sponsors, Asset and Liability Management, ABS, and Loan Syndications.

The Investment Banking Summer Analyst Role is broken down into Loan Syndications or Asset Backed Securities.

2 of the most competitive groups at PNC. They are 2-3 year programs in nature (full time). Even though PNC is a Super Regional Bank and does not technically have an Investment Bank Division (aside from Harris Williams and Co).

Any other questions?

Can you elaborate on the Corporate Banking side? And how easy to go from CB to IB within PNC?

Thanks!

Darkstar19Anyone know much about PNC RiverArch, the PE side of PNC?
The PE side of PNC used to be PNC Equity Partners (www.pncequity.com). Based on the links/articles on PNC Equity's old website, the Partners at PNC Equity spun out of PNC and formed Incline Equity (www.inclineequity.com). Some folks stayed behind to form PNC RiverArch (I can't find a website) which is now a direct competitor.

Thanks, that's really helpful. Would you say RiverArch is still a decent place to be or would Incline be the better place to target?

Was invited to a PNC Superday last year. Obviously it's competitive but it didn't feel like it at all. The people, from the interviewers to the candidates, all seemed like nice people and it was a real relaxed environment
