Preparing for final round with MDs

Hi All,

Was hoping to get the advice of the community.

I have a final round interview with the MDs for M&A at a large bank coming up this week. I've done three previous interviews with the bank, where I've met over half the team (often interviewed by 2+ people each time). Content to date has been almost exclusively technicals.

Given it's only an hour with super senior guys and based upon my recruiter's comments it seems like it won't be technical. How would you prepare for this type of thing? What are the critical points to get over? My assumptions:

  • Why me (CV run-through, motivation, behavioural / "tell me about a time when...")
  • Why them (knowing about the bank - I've read up on their strategy, annual reports, etc., knowing about the team)
  • Team deal sheet knowledge (I was given about 30-40 deals on two sheets before I interviewed)

What am I missing? Any shared experiences of this type of thing would be really helpful. For background I have been working in Big Four for over 3 years (audit most of the time and then almost a year in a non-CF deal team).

Thanks!
