Long, expensive, pain in the ass, also you're not THAT much better than the rest of us (US Citizens)

International students should look for jobs back in their home countries unless they have real ties to the US (like marriage or duel-citizenship).

Also really hard for US Citizens to get a Tier 2 VISA to live and work in the UK so we're in the same boat. So don't be bitter. I couldn't find a sponsor in London so I'm now in IB in NYC. Good luck.

 

prime reason is changes to the immigration policies. now they have to have in-house work for their H1-B sponsored employees to justify their salary and perks and show immigration department why they can't find the talent locally. its tedious and expensive both and firms do not like to overburden themselves with unnecessary work these days. :)
