Hearing rumors that a well known MM IB is looking to buy a restructuring team. With Greenhill off the market, I can’t think of any restructuring groups that could possibly be the target. Any ideas?
My guess is that they just try to poach an entire group/top dogs at an existing established RX group (rather than an entire firm) but curious to hear thoughts.

Lol Ducera would never sell their Rx business, they punch way too high above their weight for the size of the firm
The whole reason they left PWP was bc they felt the benefits of a platform didn't justify the "taxes" they were paying to Peter Weinberg (that's the word a partner used to me a few years back)
Why would they attach themselves to some MM bank when they're making efforts to build M&A anyway?
