Yes, that is what I was told. But I just assumed that was the worst-case scenario where they didn't extend an offer.

Yeah I'd assume they'd let people know day of if they wanted them
I was under the impression that this is usually what happens. I guess that if you are not told the day of, you can still be hired if some of the people they gave an offer to on the day of the superday later rejects their offer. I'm assuming that people that get into a BB probably got into other places as well, so they may not accept an offer right away.
