Hey all, I just got an interview invite from Wells for IB FT 2026. Anyone know the questions and how placement works?
Will be interviewed by two people on Sponsors, unsure if that means I’ll be interviewing for that specific group or just general. I appreciate all knowledge about the process, questions, and placement as in if I need to prep for FSG specifically.

Did SA recruiting and know some people that did FT there. Normally 1-2 round of 2 on 1s with mix of behavioral and technical. After those it’s super day with 2-3 back to back interviews mostly on techs. Id say be ready for some sponsor related questions. Some interviewers like asking questions about their industry/coverage even if you aren’t applying directly for that group.

Questions were mainly the basics then a few sector specific based on their coverage. Example is a LevFin guy asking about tranche mix, common covenants, etc. For sponsors interviewers I’d be comfortable with IRR, MOIC and general LBO concepts.
