Tech Growth Equity to Tech PE MM
Wondering what people’s thoughts are on this transition. No IB experience, took a late stage VC & GE investment spot at a tech focused firm. After a year I took a position in growth equity for a software focused firm in the MM space. Whats the likelihood of being competitive for a tech/software MM PE firm? Have lots of experience with modeling, M&A, and portco impact management but not levfin. Will not having levfin experience be that big of a deal for a PE firm in the space?
